The
story of the game 'The Curse of Ra'

When I was a teenager,
I used to play a Mahjongg game in the arcades. It was not like the classic
Mahjongg board game, it was more like a puzzle that you made you think
and train your eye. I spent a lot of my pocket money on this game.
About 10 years later,
I bought my first Pentium PC. I was downloading and buying many games for
it, but I couldn't find that Mahjongg game I used to play. Since I've done
some computer programming before on the Commodore 64 and Amiga, I thought
that if I can't find it I just have to create one myself.
What started as little
side project soon turned into a full-time job. The
whole game was written
in my bedroom, and I also had to do all the graphics and sounds myself.
I wanted it to be different to other Mahjongg games, so I abandoned to
Chinese theme and set it in ancient Egypt instead. I also added some more
elements (walls, bombs, magnets) to make it more exciting.
After about 6 months
of hard work, the game was finally finished.
